NOW COMPOSING MUSIC
AND FILM SCORES

Little

Originally called, “The Call of the Hero” this is the beginning section of the music which takes you on a journey of emotions of a hero toward their goal. First the initial excitement, then the forward movement, next the inevitable trials and doubts and the ultimate victory. I felt as if I were flying over the mountains when I created this music.

I was working on a movie trailer with a legendary and mythic theme. This music came to me with “wordless” words to encompass the depth of mystery combined with power.

Already Christmas

Already Christmas

A charming little Christmas song I wrote and recorded in a top Las Vegas Sound Studio. Although it has words, this is the instrumental version which can have a broader use.

Eagle

Eagle

I’ve always loved and been inspired by eagles. This song is my tribute to these majestic flyers.

Candle - Pray Me Home

Pray Me Home

Here is the link to a song I wrote for a sweet young man who had MS2. Diagnosed at 5, he lived until his early twenties. Taylor changed the lives of those who knew him. Taylor lost his hearing at high school one day and when I first interviewed him for my Heroes Among Us column, he could not hear but we figured out a way to communicate with a combination of hand signals and I wrote words on paper and showed it to him. Eventually the disease took him. But shortly before he passed, I wrote this song and sent it to him (he could not hear). By holding his arm, he felt the song and let me know how grateful he was by squeezing my hand when it was complete. My mother recently passed and not knowing how to ease her transition I sang this song to her as well. It’s for everyone who is leaving and those of us who stay.
Mardai

Goodbye My Angel

This was a tough song to write. It was for my good friend John Harricharan, responsible for so much encouragement in my life. His beautiful wife Mardai died in her early thirties. He never got over it and told her in her last hours that wherever she went he would find her and be with her again. When I sent him the song I didn’t hear back for quite a while and worried that he didn’t like it. Instead he wrote this:

It is absolutely one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard. Your voice combined with the music evoked long hidden memories as the tears rolled down my eyes. Thank you, Terri Marie, thank you with a million thanks. I feel Mardai's joy as I listen to it.

My overwhelming gratitude,

John Harricharan
Author of The Power Pause

John passed in 2021. I miss him dearly but how marvelously delighted he and Mardai must be.
